Laura Wize is a poet, podcast host, and creative. Often referred to as Oh Wize One, Laura is outspoken and passionately believes in the power of words to uplift, enlighten, and create awareness.

The personal experiences Laura draws upon when writing echo the joy and pain of Black women in America. These life lessons are the inspiration she channels into the spoken word and poetry she performs around the country. Laura’s work has been featured in multiple magazines and blogs, and she’s collaborated with several fashion brands as an influencer. Laura will enter the prestigious space of books written by Black women on, September 25, 2022, with the release of "Bougie Bitch Poetry: poems for the misunderstood and chronically underestimated woman.

Laura is an unabashed enthusiast of film, art, shopping, and cuisine. She loves brunch; however, if you ask, she’ll claim her favorite food is salad and not burgers and pizza.
